First Aid Supplies to Fit Your Requirements

Southside Fire & Safety provides quality first aid supplies here in Sydney and throughout Australia.

Audit, On-Site Replenishment, Site Establishment and Supply

As well as supply and installation of first aid kits and safety signage, Southside audit, replenish and certify first aid levels in all types of workplace environments ranging from small shops, offices and large Industrial warehouses up to high-rise apartments and all construction sites.

The type and quantity of first aid supplies required at a specific workplace will vary based on such factors as RISK rating, Industry type, number of people on-site or at the workplace and whether there is a requirement for portable response first aid capabilities.

Replenishment cycles vary also; some sites will require more frequent audits in line with greater first aid usage and risks.

Southside understand these variables and are well equipped to analyse the risk when quoting first aid supply and installations for a specific facility. Southside are across Workplace Health & Safety Legislation and the various Australian Standards effecting first aid in facilities and the workplace.

We remove the complexity of your obligations when it comes to first aid, safety and emergency planning. We understand our clients are busy doing what they do best and therefore we are available 24 hours as your first aid and safety adviser.

Choosing the right First Aid kit

SSFS have developed an easy 3-step process to assist you in assessing your first aid kit requirements. Follow the 3 easy steps and progress to the below Kit table to select the revenant first aid kit and or number of kits.

CHOOSING NUMBER OF KITS – BOOSTERS FOR KITS

BOOST

BOOST NUMBER OF KITS TO MEET SITE NUMBERS

What if I have too many people for the number ratings? On large or busy sites you can add extra kits to meet your specific number requirements.

Example: A Multi story office blocks has around 40 staff per floor;

Answer: Position 1x A2 Kit on each floor (level) of the building.

PORTABLE

ON HIGH RISK SITES CONSIDER PORTABLE RESPONSE (TRAUMA)

Is it possible that a person involved in a fall or crush accident at the site may not be able to move?

Example: A Large Construction site has 300 workers and is spread out over 5000sqm (distance to travel and numbers on-site).

Answer: Position 1x A4 Kit at the First Aid Room, then consider extra A3 kits positioned at First Aid stations around the site considering distance to travel to a kit / consider TRAUMA Response capabilities in the event of a serious injury where the person is incapacitated / consider Resus capabilities.

ADD RISK SPECIFIC MODULES

Modules are available to purchase with kits should you require extra content for risks such as;

  • BURNS
  • EYE WOUND
  • OUTDOORS
  • TRAUMA
